Purpose
Africa Access Health is developing community-led prevention initiatives that help people obtain trustworthy health information, understand when and where to seek care, and connect with appropriate local services. Activities will reflect local priorities, languages, cultural contexts, and health-system capacity.
Planned areas of work
- Community health education and prevention campaigns
- Training and support for community health workers
- Health-literacy materials in locally appropriate languages and formats
- Navigation to screening, vaccination, primary-care, and referral services
- Maternal, child, adolescent, and family-health education
- Education addressing communicable and noncommunicable diseases
- Community listening sessions, participatory needs assessments, and outreach to underserved populations
Program boundaries
Community education and navigation do not replace clinical evaluation or emergency treatment. Screening and health services will be offered only through appropriately trained personnel and authorized partners. AAH will not advertise a service, location, partner, or health outcome until it has been formally verified.
Our approach
Activities will be shaped by local leadership, community participation, accessible information, informed choice, privacy, and coordination with existing public-health and primary-care systems. Final priorities, service locations, eligibility requirements, and implementation partners will be published after community consultation and formal approval.
