Supporting healthcare professionals with training, mentorship, skills, and tools to strengthen local care delivery.

IN DEVELOPMENT — NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Purpose

Africa Access Health aims to strengthen the knowledge, skills, leadership, and professional networks of healthcare workers serving remote and underserved communities. Activities will respond to locally identified needs and support safer, more equitable, and higher-quality care within existing health systems.

Planned areas of work

  • Continuing professional education and competency development
  • Clinical mentoring, case consultation, and peer-learning networks
  • Training-of-trainers and development of local faculty
  • Digital literacy and appropriate use of telehealth and health-information tools
  • Quality improvement, patient safety, and infection-prevention education
  • Leadership, teamwork, care coordination, and referral skills
  • Context-adapted learning resources in relevant languages

What capacity building cannot replace

AAH training will not replace accredited professional education, licensure, credentialing, required clinical supervision, or the responsibilities of employers and regulatory authorities. No course, certificate, faculty member, or professional qualification will be advertised until it has been formally approved and verified.

Our approach

Programs will be co-designed with local healthcare professionals, institutions, and communities; guided by needs assessments and measurable learning objectives; and evaluated for relevance, safety, and sustainability. AAH is identifying partners and assessing workforce priorities for future pilot activities in Mauritania and Senegal.
